Snow on the upper slopes of le Garlaban (714 m.), the limestone giant between Marseille and Aubagne, which dominates the settings of the novels of Marcel Pagnol
Reports mentioned 12 cm of snow in nearby rural areas, the most since 2018. A minor fall compared to Savoie but my favourite restaurant put tartiflette, the Roblochon cheese, cream, potatoes and seasoning speciality from Savoie, on the menu anyhow. Snow didn’t settle in the city although there’s been unpleasant freezing drizzle - not really what one expects for Marseille weather, even for February.
