Col de l’Espigoulier

Col de l’Espigoulier

Afternoon session on the very technical south side of the Col de l’Espigoulier (723 m.). Running in the new helmet and new gloves, these now including scaphoid protection.
Talked with a couple of local bikers also out enjoying riding in the 18‘C sunshine.
Bit of a view from the col on the north side (728 m.) of much rougher weather to the north of Mont Sainte-Victoire.
AGAT rules as usual, all the protection gear including the stuff you don’t see: back protector, earplugs etc. Helps get in the zone.

And so ends my biking for 2023. A mixed year. I nearly lost my RR because of a careless driver in Chamonix-Mont Blanc. I sold the trail bike. But also found some big routes in the Scottish Borders that are new to me, as well as enjoying some of my favourites in the Alps and Écrins.
